How much does corporate photography cost in Rotterdam?

Corporate photography in Rotterdam starts from €300 for a short session, such as headshots for a small team in your office or a half-hour of portraits on location. Half-day and full-day bookings for events, teams or branding cost more. The final quote depends on the number of people, hours, locations, retouching and how the images will be used.

Rotterdam companies tend to want their city in the picture: the port, the skyline, the idea that this is where things get built and shipped. Corporate photography here covers everything from team headshots in an office on the Weena to portraits on the Wilhelminapier and events in venues such as Rotterdam Ahoy or a converted warehouse in Katendrecht.

Send us what you need, how many people, and when. We match you with a photographer who works in Rotterdam and can quote for the whole job, including editing and usage.

Office headshots: what the photographer needs from you

Most Rotterdam corporate bookings are in-office headshots, and the logistics decide how smooth the day goes.

  • A room of at least 4 × 4 metres with some daylight. Meeting rooms in the towers around the Weena and the Kop van Zuid often have floor-to-ceiling glass, which is lovely as soft background light if the blinds can be adjusted.
  • A schedule in 5–10 minute slots. It keeps people from queuing and lets colleagues fit it around meetings.
  • A decision on background. A neutral backdrop for consistency across the website, or the office itself, slightly out of focus, for a more editorial look.
  • Access and parking. Many central offices have underground car parks with height limits and visitor registration; share instructions in advance, because a photographer arrives with cases of gear.

If you want the skyline behind people, ask whether the building has a terrace or a high meeting room with a view across the Maas.

Portraits and branding on location

Outdoor corporate portraits in Rotterdam work best in areas with clean lines and space to step back:

AreaLookNotes
WilhelminapierTowers, Hotel New York, cranesGood for a "port city" message; wind off the river
Kop van Zuid / ErasmusbrugBridge and skylineBusy with cyclists; morning is calmer
Weena and CentraalGlass and steel, business districtEasy for staff who work nearby
DelfshavenHistoric canal and warehousesSofter, older setting for founders and hospitality brands

A small crew (photographer, subject, perhaps a colleague holding a reflector) generally works in public space without formalities. If you plan a larger production with lighting stands, a model team or props that block the pavement, check with the gemeente Rotterdam whether permission is needed.

Events and conferences

Rotterdam hosts a lot of events, from large conferences at Rotterdam Ahoy and the World Trade Center to product launches in the Fenix warehouse area and company days on the water. Share a run-sheet with the photographer at least a week before: stage times, speakers who must be photographed, sponsor walls and any VIPs who do not want to appear.

Venue lighting is often dim and coloured. Ask to see a full gallery from a comparable venue, not only highlight images. Same-day selections for social media are possible if agreed in advance; build the extra editing time into the quote.

For a larger programme, event photography and conference photography describe what a full booking involves.

Usage, consent and timing

Clarify how the images will be used: website and LinkedIn, printed annual report, or advertising. Usage affects price and licence terms, and it is better to agree it up front than negotiate later.

Under the GDPR (AVG in Dutch), employees should know how their photos will be used, and people who opt out should be able to. Many companies collect consent when they share the schedule.

In winter the light is gone by around 16:30, so outdoor portraits belong before lunch. In summer the harsh midday sun on white buildings like the Erasmusbrug is less flattering than morning or late afternoon.

Rotterdam Corporate Photographer: questions

How much does corporate photography cost in Rotterdam?

From €300 for a short session. Larger team days, events and branding shoots are quoted on hours, number of people, retouching and usage. Tell us the scope and you get a specific quote.

Can the photographer bring a backdrop and lights to our office?

Yes, that is the usual set-up for team headshots. Allow 30–45 minutes to set up and a room of at least 4 × 4 metres.

Do we need a permit for outdoor portraits in Rotterdam?

Not normally for a small crew. Productions with lighting stands, props on the pavement or a larger team may need permission from the municipality. Check with the gemeente Rotterdam if your plans go beyond a simple portrait session.

How quickly are photos delivered?

Delivery time is agreed in the quote. Many photographers deliver headshots within one to two weeks; faster turnaround or same-day selections for events can be arranged, usually for an extra fee.

Can you photograph our team across several offices in the Netherlands?

Yes. Tell us each location and the number of people per site. We can match you with one photographer who travels, or with photographers in each city if the schedule needs it.
