What does wedding photo and video cost?
Wedding photo and video coverage starts from €2,000 on TulipFrame for a photographer and a videographer covering the core of the day. Combined full-day photo and film packages in the Netherlands commonly run €3,500–€6,000+. The final quote varies with hours, the length of the film, audio needs, travel and the date.
A wedding film captures what photos cannot: your voices during the vows, the speech your brother practised for weeks, the music of the first dance. Booking photo and video together means two people who plan the day as a team instead of two strangers competing for the same spot in the aisle.
You tell us your date, venue and what you want from the film; we match the request with a photographer who works with a regular videographer, or with both separately in the same region, and they send one quote.

What the video add-on actually includes
Wedding films come in a few standard formats, and most couples want one or two of them:
| Deliverable | What it is | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| Highlight film | An edited, music-led story of the day | 3–6 minutes |
| Teaser | A short cut for social media | 30–90 seconds |
| Ceremony edit | The full ceremony, multi-camera, with clean audio | The length of the ceremony |
| Speeches edit | All speeches, uncut | The length of the speeches |
| Documentary edit | A longer film of the whole day | 15–30 minutes |
Ask which of these the quote includes. The highlight film is standard; full ceremony and speeches edits are often extras, and they are the parts families watch again years later.
Audio is the hard part
Good wedding video is mostly good sound. The videographer will usually put a small lavalier microphone or recorder on the person being married or the registrar, and record the venue's sound system for speeches. That needs planning:
- Tell the registrar or officiant in advance that they will be wearing a microphone.
- Check whether the venue has a sound system the videographer can record from.
- For outdoor ceremonies in the dunes or at the beach, wind is the enemy; the videographer needs a spot out of it, and a handheld microphone for the officiant helps.
If your vows are in Dutch and English, say so. Some videographers subtitle the ceremony edit for family abroad on request.
How photographer and videographer share the day
Two people with cameras at the front of a ceremony can crowd it. A team used to working together agrees positions beforehand: usually the videographer takes a fixed wide camera at the back and moves with a second camera on one side, while the photographer covers the other side and the aisle. During portraits the photographer leads, and the videographer films around them rather than asking you to repeat everything.
Timing changes slightly too. Add 10–15 minutes to the portrait session for video, and build a short moment for your first dance where both can move freely.
Drone footage is sometimes offered. In the Netherlands, drone flights are regulated: operators need to be registered and certified for the category they fly in, and there are no-fly zones around airports (including a large area around Schiphol), in many city centres and over nature reserves. A professional will check whether your venue allows it; do not assume it does.
Delivery and choosing a team
Photos commonly arrive in four to eight weeks in the wedding season. Films take longer — two to four months is common for a full edit — because editing video to music with clean audio is slow work. Ask about both delivery times before booking.
When you compare teams, watch a full highlight film and at least one ceremony edit, not just a teaser. Check that the sound is clear during the vows. Our guide to choosing a photographer in the Netherlands covers the questions to ask; for photo-only coverage see wedding photography.
What drives the price
Photo and video together starts from €2,000 on TulipFrame, and the quote moves with a handful of factors:
| Factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Hours of coverage | Two people on site for longer, and more footage to edit |
| Film deliverables | A highlight film alone is quicker than a ceremony, speeches and documentary edit |
| Second shooter for video | Needed for multi-camera ceremony and speeches in large rooms |
| Audio setup | Extra microphones and recorders for outdoor or multilingual ceremonies |
| Travel | Venues far from the team's base, or an overnight stay for early starts |
| Date | Saturdays from May to September are in the highest demand |
Video editing usually takes more hours than filming, which is why film is the larger part of most combined quotes. If budget is tight, one option is full photo coverage plus a shorter video booking covering only the ceremony and speeches — the parts with sound you cannot get back.

Wedding Photo and Video: questions
How much does wedding photo and video cost in the Netherlands?
On TulipFrame combined photo and video starts from €2,000. Full-day photo and film packages in the Dutch market commonly run €3,500–€6,000+, depending on hours, film length and extras.
How long until we receive the film?
Commonly two to four months for the full film in high season, with photos sooner. Ask the team for their current delivery time.
Can we have drone footage?
Sometimes. Drone flights in the Netherlands require registration and certification, and many areas, including around Schiphol, city centres and nature reserves, are restricted. The operator checks your venue before confirming.
Will the videographer get in the way?
A team used to working together agrees positions before the ceremony and keeps to the sides and back. Ask to see a ceremony edit to judge how discreet they are.
Is the music in our film licensed?
Most videographers use music from licensing libraries so the film can be shared online. A specific pop song may cause issues on social platforms; ask before requesting one.
Can we add video later if we only booked photos?
Yes, if a videographer is available for your date. Tell us early, as the team needs to plan together.
